I'm Not Racist For Not Believing In The Black Lives Matter Movement

The Black Lives Matter movement is turning into the current KKK.

Growing up I never understood how people could hate different people for simply the color of their skin. I still don't understand it, honestly, but movements like Black Lives Matter are starting to make me think.

I think I should start off by saying what I feel isn't toward the entire movement and I do see where some things are getting out of hand, but this is for the people that aren't protesting peacefully and are injuring and killing innocent police. If you look at Black Lives Matter, you can see the protests, riots, and racist slams against white people. I have nothing against the African American community, or any other race, ethnicity, gender or sexual preference. I understand that the movement is trying to do something good, but it is currently getting police killed because of trust issues and misdirected anger.

Some police officers are corrupt; it's a part of life just like some bosses are total jerks, it happens. There is no excuse for their behavior, but there are a lot of officers out there wanting to help and make a difference and those are the ones who are getting discouraged to serve. This movement is going to give fuel to the officers that want to misuse their power because it shows them that cops are getting shot at and they need to take out those that are dangerous.

To me, the Black Lives Matter movement is another KKK, or at least some of the members remind me of it. They are mad at white people for tearing them down, but they are tearing whites down just as much if not more. I have yet to find a white person that thinks they should have more power than a black person. Right now we have a black president! We have black judges, doctors, lawyers, teachers, professors, and so many other important jobs. They can do just as much as whites, or any other race for that matter. It just doesn't make sense why they need to have a racist movement to try and prove their worth more than anyone else.

I don't care what race you are or what you decide you are, I support everyone and everyone should be equal. Everyone should have to work hard in order to get what they need. It is the American way of doing things, and everyone wants the American dream, right? Having movements that are destructive aren't going to get you the American Dream it isn't going to get you anywhere.

I think we all need to take a look at what is really going on in society and stop worrying about being called a racist. I am not a racist because I do not believe in your movement. Honestly, your movement is racist and that is not okay. I am white, you can be whatever color you want and I am going to treat you the same way I would treat anyone, because that's the right thing to do.

I should also say that I support our police officers and our country and those that fight for our country, I may not agree with the country's leaders, but the United States is where my loyalties lie and always will. So thank you to all of those who serve, have served, or have made the ultimate sacrifice; your service doesn't go unnoticed.

Thank you for listening and please if you have comments share them, I am open to new opinions.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
