I will like to begin by saying that 1 John 4:20 in its context is referring to Christians. The entire book of 1 John was written to Christians. I'm just using this verse because it talks about love.
“I just feel like African-American is the worst race in the world because first of all we kill each other,” explained Boosie. “People always talking all this racist stuff but the white man ain’t waiting in your bushes with a chopper [gun], the white man ain’t tryna take rims off your car … we doing this to each other. So how can you say ‘F the white man?’ He ain’t doing nothing but –– when you get in trouble –– doing his job. He ain’t doing nothing wrong.” -Boosie Badazz
This interview was released in September 2014. Boosie got a lot of criticism from the black community after his remarks about the black community. A lot of people also misunderstood him. Listen to what he said. We kill each other. The white man isn't waiting in your bushes with a chopper(Ak-47). The white man isn't trying to take the rims off your car. We are doing this to each other. This makes me wonder if black lives really matter. The majority of black men who loose their lives to gunfire are due to the hands of another black man. I believe that we have blamed the white man for too long. I think that it's about time that we check ourselves. I also understand why black on black crime occur and that's because of poverty and poor education. Does black lives just matter when we get killed by the police? Does black lives also matter when a brother's life is taken by the hands of another brother? I'm not saying that it is right what police are doing and there are so many perspectives of police brutality. I love all people and I believe that it's not God's will for us to be racist at all. Hating the police or hating white people is not of God. Any form of racism by any race( White or Black) is not of God. I want to be able to love anyone regardless of their race. Some people may not agree with me and I'm very persuaded that some people wouldn't understand the point that i'm making, but that's all good. People in authority who have displayed injustice will have to give an answer to God for their actions. I just recently watched a PBS documentary called "Policing the Police." It was about the relationship between the police and the community. This documentary was filmed in New Jersey. During this time, there were about 105 murders in New Jersey. Police were stopping people left to right. They pretty were trying to remove illegal weapons off of the streets. The interactions between the police and people of the community got a little rough at times. I'll be the first to say that you can't get smart with an officer and not expect to get handled rough. You can't go to reaching in your pockets and things of that nature. If you do so, then you're looking for trouble. Things like this happened in the documentary, but no got killed by the police. Was this because of the cameras? Maybe so. One cop explained to a guy that he shouldn't be reaching in his pockets because there are rookie cops who would panic because of that.
