Black Friday seems like a good idea. You get to roam the malls until like 2 in the morning and get good deals on your favorite items. Everyone is happy and awake pretty late. It's fun and pleasant.
Right? WRONG!
Every single year I go Black Friday shopping, clearly forgetting the trauma of the year before. This year, I walked into Best Buy and immediately felt panic run through my body. There were people everywhere rushing to get what they want before someone else takes it. I thought it would get better when I got out of the store and into the actual mall, but nope! People watched in packs, like hungry wolves trying to find a meal. And you knew a store didn't really have a good deal when it was relatively empty compared to stores like Best Buy and Macy's.
All I wanted to do was get gifts for the Secret Santa's I was taking part in. So I quickly got to stores like Forever 21 and HnM to get things. The thing about these stores, however, was that the "good stuff" wasn't on sale. And the sale items were all disorganized so it was hard to find what you wanted. The item I ended up buying wasn't even on sale.
Later in the night, Macy's got emptier as more and more people went back home. There were actually really good deals here, I got some cute boots and a couple of pieces of jewelry as gifts.
If you have really bad anxiety too, I recommend waiting until it gets later at night to hit the stores, many people go back home and there is less of a rush to get things.
However, many of the "Doorbuster" deals are all gone due to the first wave of people taking it.
You pick and choose what you want to do next Black Friday!
