The Bittersweet Moment At The End Of The Semester

Farewell to some, and see you next year to others, its been a tough semester but we have all made it through.

The Bittersweet Moment At The End Of The Semester

That time in the semester is upon us again, yes you guessed it, finals week. It seems like just yesterday that we were just starting the fall semester and couldn't wait for the end to come. Well it has come, the end is here and now some of us are probably wanting a little bit more time to finish up that last paper, that last project or to study for that last final. I know for myself that I wish I could have a little more time to finish the final touches on all of my projects and paper, but I'm also glad that the end is here. This winter break is a much needed one after this past semester and I cannot wait for the day when I get to wake up and not have to worry about getting an assignment done or studying for another quiz. The feeling is going to feel so good, and besides I just cannot wait to get a decent nights sleep.

This time in the semester is a bittersweet one and a sad one at the same time. On one hand some of us are graduating, I am not but that's another story, and are finishing up those senior projects and those last classes that you just had to have for your major. This time of the year is a bittersweet time for those that are graduating because this is the time that you see all of your hard work paying off and you're getting ready for the real world, so I wish you all the best. On the other hand, this is the time when we have to say goodbye to some of our closest friends that we've meet over the course of our college careers because they are graduating and won't return next semester, or because they are going home over the winter break and you won't see them until the next semester. Either way you look at it, its a sad moment because you aren't going to see the same people everyday these next couple of weeks.

Yet, we have to remember that we are all striving to move forward in our lives and we all have similar, but different, goals in mind and that is taking it one semester at a time until we graduate and move on to the next step. I know for myself that I'm going to miss the friends that I have met these past four and half years when they graduate and move on into their careers but I want to stay positive and wish them all luck on their new ventures. I'll be sad to not see some of them in the next semester but I will know that they are doing things that they have worked their whole college career to achieve.

For me, I will take this time to reflect on where I have been in college and prepare for the next year and half I have left to go in my undergraduate career, because you know Graduate School is always out there and it might be in the cards for me in the future. I will take it one semester at a time and I'm looking forward to learning new things in this coming semester, and I'm looking forward to seeing those that are not yet graduating back in school in the New Year. I will leave you on this not and I want to wish all of my friends from school Happy Holidays over this winter break.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
