A Bitmoji Story
Bitmoji

You’re missing out if you don’t have a Bitmoji. It is fun, hilarious and totally unique. Bitmoji is an app where you create an avatar that looks like yourself, and the app has tons of emojis (starring you) to choose from. You even get to choose your outfit and show off your style. Basically, you have your own personal emoji. Bitmoji is extremely entertaining, and there is always an emoji to express how you’re feeling. While looking at recent Bitmojis I have used (and accidentally clicked on), I thought, 'I should make a story out of these.' I hope you enjoy!

The story

The day started out like any other day. I woke up, hopped out of bed and went right to the Skydiving Center. Everything would have gone perfectly...if I would have remembered to put my contacts in. I guess it's a good thing I have two pairs of glasses. After my daily skydive, I was in such a terrific mood that I went to go sing and dance in a garden of flowers. Boy, those flowers were beautiful. I felt bad for them having to hear what I call singing. (I may have chosen to sing, "Singing in the Rain" but substituted "rain" for "flowers.") Then, all of the sudden, I was dropped back into reality. As I was singing, I forgot that I was supposed to go golfing with my dad and sister. I rushed home, not even bothering to change into my golf attire, and got to the course just in time. However, when I got to the first tee box and went to pull out my iron, I ended up pulling out a hockey stick. Somehow, all of my golf clubs were magically turned into hockey sticks. I took this as a sign that I missed watching hockey, but it still confused me. I couldn't get the ball to go anywhere with those stupid hockey sticks. We finished just before dark, and when I got home, I suddenly remembered that I forgot what day it was: my cousin's birthday. Again, I rushed because I had to make it before the clock struck midnight. I got to her house and my uncle told me she had gone to bed, but I went to her room anyway. I stood at the edge of her bed and yelled, "It's your birthday!" She woke up in a panic and screamed! And...that's when I woke up from this strange dream.

And then I shouted...

Well, there you have it. I hope it entertained you and inspired you to get a Bitmoji if you don't already have one. I definitely think that if you do have a Bitmoji you should totally create your own recent story. I'd sure love to read it. Happy Bitmoji-ing!

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
