Hi, I'm Melody. I am a junior at Willard high school and I am involved in: Choir, Theatre, and Speech & Debate. I also have a job, and I am going into FBLA and track & field. So, you could say I keep myself busy most of the time. All of my life, I have never slowed down. Sure, I've wanted too, but there's always been too much to do to slow down. You can probably tell just by this, that I'm terrible at time management. Whether or not you get any help from whatever I'm about to say, I hope that you can appreciate the effort of someone who barely even had time to write what you're reading right now.
Starting off with the cause of the problem: Life is too short. I have had the problem of being involved in too much my entire life, and everytime I've tried to come to a reasoning about it, it always circles back to me wanting to do everything I can in life. Obviously, nobody can do everything there is to do in life, but I can sure do the things that make me happy. The way I see it, as long as I'm happy for the reason I'm always so stressed, then I'm doing something worthwhile. I can't stress enough how important it is to being doing things that you love. Even though sometimes you have to do things you don't love, try to find a balance.
Moving onto helping the problem (since there is no way to truly solve it). Recharging time is always important. Everybody's way of recharging is different. For example, I like to make a cup of tea and binge watch a show on Netflix. Yours may be spending time with friends or family, or it could be taking a nap as soon as you get home from work. Whatever it is that you do, that is your time. Make sure you focus on you in that moment and not whatever you have to worry about.
Finally, taking a look at what's best for you. Some people can't do the always busy lifestyle, and that's ok! You don't have to always be doing something to feel worthy, everybody is different in that way. The only thing you need to worry about is how you, and the people around you, are doing. And I know, this sounds like some cheesy uplifting article from a cheesy teenager, but it is simply here to help everyone feel like the best of them, they can be.
