"Graveside"
My heart missing somewhere in the mound
Of ground
Where you can be found
The dirt stole you, ripped you from us with
No time to discuss
Just how torn we’d be
No doubt you’d say it’s our time to leap
Into the deep
And find the Unique
You never quit seeking the reason why
Your cup never reached depletion
Or why your Savior was beaten
Now I’m searching in this ground but
My heart is unfound
And the misery abounds
Suddenly I hear the call from above
My Father shouting,
“Darling, you are my beloved”
The graves around me turn into nothing
But cold stones
They are not homes
The dwelling of our hearts are in heaven
No longer do we have to live in depression
We have divine protection
You’re not sitting next to me
Instead, you’re seated with the King of Kings.
