An Interview with Steven Barber

Again, I would like to spotlight another creator for the Birmingham-Southern team! Steven Barber is a student here at BSC and has been writing for Odyssey for a few months! He is always super motivated and has great time management skills!

1. What made you interested in writing for Odyssey?
It's something new and it's a way to express my opinions.

2. What are you passionate about?
Sports, politics, family, movies.

3. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are my family and friends.

4. Do you plan to write in the future? If so, what would you like to write?
I plan on working in business, so not necessarily.

5. What do you hope to gain from your experience as part of the Odyssey team?
I hope to challenge myself to think differently and analyze things in a way I would not normally do so.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
