Why Bird Scooter can be good in some places and bad in others

In recent weeks we have all noticed that the new thing around the Milwaukee area is the bird scooter. It started in the third ward and slowly grew from there and now you see them everywhere. Sometimes you even have to dodge them in city traffic. Now the City Council is trying to ban them from the streets, which to me seems unnecessary.

If you think about college campuses (like Marquette of course) students would use them all the time. Many students have housing that is very far from campus which means they either have to walk or even drive and pay for parking. We also all know how annoying parking on Marquette's campus is. I feel that Bird Scooters would be beneficial in these areas. For only .15 cents a minute, it is affordable and very easy to use.

It would help people get from class to class and them back to their dorm or apartment without have to walk in the heat of the summer when classes start and end in the spring semester. Now, when it comes to other places I have a different opinion. In the city, it is especially annoying when you are driving and then one just comes out of nowhere. The argument against that could be that bikes are even worse. They run red lights and they also hog the lane which, trust me, pisses me off so much.

So the main consensus with the Bird Scooters is the fact that they might be a good thing for the city of Milwaukee. They actually could reduce the number of people who need to drive to work and park in place and can help students get around campus without having a problem. Change does come around and a lot of people do not like it and this is a change. So I feel that the city of Milwaukee should just let this one go. They might put a few restrictions on where to park it (which the app already tells you about that) but otherwise, they are was y and convenient to use.

So no matter what your opinion is, it is important to think about what the future of traveling will be like. How people will be able to commute from place to place in the easiest, most cost-effective way. I believe that the Bird Scooter is the new way to do that.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
