The Netflix original, "Bird Box," has not only unleashed new memes for the 2019 year, but it has also made a new viral challenge: The Bird Box Challenge.

We all know the horror film of "Bird Box" on Netflix that has everyone confused and raving about it altogether - the basic concept of being blindfolded to survive became of a deadly sensation that manifests itself through society looking at it. Oh, and also made Sandra Bullock a new meme.

But, it is not all humor and fun as a new "Bird Box" challenge has unfolded.

The "Bird Box" challenge consists of being blindfolded just like in the film and walking around outside for several hours.

Not all people are amused by the concept as Netflix has released a tweet forewarning everybody not to attempt the challenge.

"Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE," Netflix tweeted. "We do not know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you do not end up in the hospital due to memes."

Sadly, this tweet warning from Netflix has not stopped anyone in continuing to attempt the harmful and risky challenge---YouTubers such as Morgan Adams, B.E.A.M SQUAD, and even "E! News" have tried the challenge, giving it more promotion and intriguing young viewers.

There's no denying that memes and challenges stemming from the film have increased its' views and popularity, but Netflix also has to handle the burden of knowing that a lot of people are putting their own lives in danger because of a new viral challenge.

Success can come with a price, and this is just a minor example of that.

Enjoy the film, but stay safe and stay smart.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
