Summer is here! Fortunately, this means that free time (or work) is abundant. When you're bored at home or just need some time to yourself it's always good to watch some TV. Whether you're into crime dramas or reality TV — it's all here.

1. Criminal Minds

This show is ever popular. It's about a group of analysts who try to find serial killers. There are a couple of serial killers that keep showing up within the seasons as well. The show is just enough crime and relationship drama to keep you entertained for most of your summer. Most of the 11 seasons are available on Netflix

2. White Collar

Personally this is one of my favorites. It's another crime show that has the ever-adorable Matthew Bomer in it. He plays a sarcastic con-artist who is aiding the police. Also the entire series is available on Netflix!

3. The Real World

Okay, hear me out. I know it seems like really terrible reality TV but if you want to mindlessly watch hours upon hours of television, "The Real World" is for you. It's about a group of people who get thrown into a random city into a small apartment and are watched 24/7. It's drama galore. I recommend starting on the more recent seasons — and work your way around the cities you like best. Most seasons can be found on MTV.

4. Catfish: The TV Show

Another MTV reality show, but way less drama this time! Each episode is about a new person who is in an internet relationship. Nev and Max are sent to help uncover the identity of the catfish. Nev and Max are extremely nice and always try to make the relationship flourish (if they can). There are four seasons of this show on MTV as well, and you don't have to watch them in order.

5. Gilmore Girls

If you haven't watched this yet — stop what you're doing and get to it. This show is phenomenal. It's a quirky mother-daughter relationship and the interesting obstacles they have to work through. This show will last a whole summer and is equal parts funny and emotional. Watch it on Netflix!

6. Gossip Girl

This show is full of drama, but will hook you after one episode. The intense relationships and ever changing drama will keep you pressing play for hours on end. This show is 10/10 and you should hop over to Netflix to watch it. XOXO, Gossip Girl.

7. Grey's Anatomy

I myself just jumped on the Grey's train and at first I hated myself for it, but it's so good. 100% binge-worthy and it's worth it. I have laughed and cried many times. Spoiler Alert: It takes a really long time for Meredith and Derek to get together and most people you like will end up dead. You can find it on Netflix.

8. New Girl

If you are looking for a quick sitcom, this is for you. It's funny and easy to get into. Zooey Deschanel is also the cutest actress in the world. Zooey plays Jess who is a quirky elementary school teacher in the middle of a life-changing year. Watch it on Netflix.

9. Real World/Road Rules The Challenge

What a name, right? If you liked "The Real World," how could you not LOVE "The Challenge." It's all the drama of "The Real World" with intense challenges and grueling activities. There's always love and loss on this show, and your favorite contestants always pop up again with their love interest. Diem and CT anyone? Watch this on MTV!

10. Parks and Recreation

Last but not least, we have "Parks and Rec." This show is quite possibly the best sitcom ever (besides Friends of course). It's cute and odd and hilarious. I always cry laughing when I watch this show and it is so strangely relatable. The entire series is on Netflix.

There. Now you have 10 shows you can watch this summer — all are available on convenient platforms! It's time to sit back and relax with a new show that you won't be able to watch all in one night.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
