As I wrote about in a previous article, YouTube has become a critical element in mainstream media and entertainment. People have used their imaginations, interests, and more in order to develop content. There's a lot to watch. Many of us can simply binge YouTube as much as Netflix and TV in general. Here are some notable YouTubers
React
Who knew that seeing people react to things could be so entertaining?
React is a channel founded by two brothers and it started as kids and teenagers reacting to other viral YouTube trends that occur at the time. Now, the React channel has grown into three separate channels that are run by a full-time staff of producers, editors, and more. Obviously, the react ideas grow as well.
In addition to YouTube trends, there are challenge videos such as laughing and getting mad, food challenges, video games, and vlogs. The reactors have grown as well. Pretty much anyone can react, and the channel has featured notable reactors such as athletes, celebrities, and other YouTubers. The channel has a simple concept which has evolved into loads of entertainment.
Odd1sOut & JaidenAnimations
Another aspect of YouTube is that animation has grown tremendously. When we think of animation we always think of TV shows and movies. Now, creators have been making their own animations.
Odd1sOut and JaidenAnimations are two notable and probably the most popular animators. Majority of their animations involve stories and thoughts about their everyday lives. There are several more animators on YouTube who are also just as good as these two.
Other clever animators include AlexClark, Shgurr, and Domics. They all create such personal and fascinating content that is worth checking out.
Vanoss & Muselk
Video games have taken the world by storm over the last two decades. The growth has gotten to the point where video games have taken a professional stage. Watching people play video games is just as fun as playing them.
Vanoss and Muselk are two YouTubers that really focus on just having a good time playing games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Uno, and a lot more. Typically, you'll see them playing with other YouTubers and creators which just makes the videos even more funny and entertaining. Many people have probably heard of Ninja, the Fortnite gamer who collaborated with Drake. These are great channels for when you want a good laugh.
Simone Giertz & Grant Thompson
Many call Simone the queen of sh****y robots. Many call Grant the king of random. These YouTubers are inventors of robots and other unique projects.
As given by her title, Simone makes robots that intentionally fail at the basic tasks they are designed to do. Tasks include chopping vegetables, eating cereal, and brushing your teeth. When you think about it, there's something about failure that's funny. Simone really captures that in her videos and excels in making content.
As given by his name, Grant creates cool yet random science projects. What he does is what we all wish we could do in science class. There are fun projects like gummy legos to more dangerous projects like metal foundries that melt soda cans. Some projects you can even try at home which captures audiences even more.
Both Simone and Grant have earned their spot in YouTube royalty.
Crash Course
YouTube can actually be really educational. I've used YouTube as an online tutor for some of my classes. Any subject you need to help out with you can find on YouTube. Crash Course is one of the most notable channels in this category.
Their content really helps students like myself visualize subjects in a fun and entertaining way. These videos are really good the day before big tests and exams where all you do is simply watch. The videos are re-playable and interesting. YouTube can help with a lot of things.
For many, YouTube has become a way of life, a new source of entertainment, education, and whatever imagination craves. That's the beauty of this time. Everyone has the opportunity to share a message, their passion, and ideas.
