As social distancing and self quarantining are strongly suggested by the government and health officials, individuals must find ways to combat boredom and anxiety induced by the spread of the virus. If you have exhausted yourself with attempts to remain entertained and are looking for a decent show to binge watch, consider these Netflix series.

1. 'Love Is Blind.'

If you enjoy reality TV shows whose main purpose is to help people find love, this show is a very entertaining watch. In Love Is Blind, 30 men and 30 women are put into pods where they speed date each other over the course of ten days without being able to visibly see the person they are on a date with. Once couples are formed, the men are given the opportunity to propose to their new other halfs and meet them in person as they get ready for a retreat where they can learn more about each other and the rest of the couples. Following the retreat, the couples move into apartments and begin to familiarize themselves with each others' everyday routines and habits. After the main experiments that the show hosts for the couples, they must decide to either get married or break up at the altar on the day of their wedding. Consider this show if you wouldn't mind being entertained by couples uniting through this social experiment that tests if love is actually blind.

2. 'Night On Earth.'

If you are fond of series concerning nature, you will be very impressed with 'Night on Earth' as it films the conditions and behaviors of wildlife in different parts of the world during the nighttime. This Netflix original series provides an alternate perspective to traditional nature documentaries, making it a great option if you are looking to watch a series with a unique outlook on the world. With six episodes that are just short of an hour long portraying the nocturnal activities that occur in the wild, you have enough watch time to binge this entertaining series while you practice social distancing.

3. 'Designated Survivor.'

If you have a knack for politically inspired shows, 'Designated Survivor' is an action packed show that follows the story of the American government after an explosion kills the President and every official in line for succession, stopping at Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Kirkman is sworn into the Presidency and must combat a lot of criticism claiming that he is not qualified for the position along with the unsteady conditions of the government and American people. If you enjoy radically fictional story lines that are acted out in a realistic fashion, consider this show when you have nothing else to watch.

4. 'Grace and Frankie.'

If you prefer to watch lighthearted comedy series, 'Grace and Frankie' is sure to keep you laughing for hours. The show follows the lives and friendship of two older women, Grace and Frankie, whose ex husbands confess their long affair and love to one another in hopes to get married. The two women have no choice but to move in with each other as their husbands plan to reside in one of their houses. There are seven seasons of this hilarious show for you to binge watch while you self quarantine until further notice.

5. 'The Blacklist.'

If you prefer watching a series in which every episode is action packed, consider 'The Blacklist' next time you are looking for a binge worthy show. This crime thriller follows the experience of a new FBI profiler, Elizabeth Keen, after one of the most wanted criminals, Raymond Reddington, turns himself in with plans to provide the FBI with a list of dangerous criminals. Reddington demands to speak and work with Keen for unknown reasons which are slowly uncovered throughout the series. If you are ready to binge watch eight exciting seasons of a fast paced show, consider committing to 'The Blacklist.'

It is vital to take all necessary precautions that officials are suggesting in order to preserve your own and other people's health during this time period. Consider these Netflix shows as you distance yourself from gatherings to stay entertained by content that interests you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
