I know that we have a lot of free time to waste in college, when we aren’t swamped with studying or homework. To fill these vacant voids, we binge-watch shows on Netflix. Netflix is chock-full of movies and also full TV show seasons. I know what you’re thinking: what show should I watch? Well, if you want something that will last for a while, I recommend picking up a TV series. Here are some top TV shows that are a must see.
- "Breaking Bad"
The number one show that I was recommended to watch was "Breaking Bad." This show follows a teacher by the name of Walter White who is diagnosed with cancer. To rebel against the thought of having cancer and what will his family do without him, he runs into an old student by the name of Jessie Pinkham. Jessie is in the drug business and more centrally selling his own batch of meth that has a little spice to it. Walter saw that it’s up-front money and lots of it, so he wanted to make it in the business, but his way. He is setting out to make the purest meth on the market and with his background of chemistry should help. Definitely, one of my personal favorite TV shows and this series is no longer on TV, all five season can be found on Netflix. - "Friends"Number two is Friends, Everyone has probably watched an episode or two in their life. But probably never watched the full series. Friends is about a group of friends that have known must of each other since high school and have comeback to live in the New York and see where their life and careers take them. The group has its up and downs, romantic flings, dramatic moments and hilarious ones also. This series is a major time investment and an emotional investment, prepare yourself!
- "How I Met Your Mother"
This show was introduced to me by one of my friends in high school and I fell in love with it. This show has the same concept of Friends, but a little different. The show follows a group of friends and all of their adventures, But Ted Mosby, One of the main characters of the show is telling his kids in the future about how he met their mother. Which is neat to see where he starts and how he met all of his friends. But also see all of the failed relationships and life lessons that were learned upon the journey to meeting his future wife. This is defiantly a must-see and has a lot of life experiences and useful tips for the future. - "Arrow"
For the superhero fan that lives in all of us, Arrow is the one superhero TV series that doesn’t disappoint. Oliver Queen a multi-millionaire/playboy is shipwrecked on an island in the South China Sea known as Lian Yu. On this island, Oliver suffered through hell and discovered a small book with names of bad people hurting his city, Starling City. He swears to protect his city and becomes a masked vigilante by the name the green arrow. - "Once Upon A Time"
Even though that I have recently just started this series, I feel like I have seen enough to recommend it to others. "Once" is about fairytales characters that are trapped in a curse created by the evil queen. This curse brought all of these characters to the a world without magic and they have forgotten who they are. Emma, who is somewhat like a bounty hunter, was graced by the presence of her son on her birthday. His name is Henry and he came asking her to help him break the "curse" in Storybrooke. Emma is reluctant to believe him, but travels back to Storybrooke with him and sticks around to spend more time with Henry, and also investigate this "curse" for herself.
