If you're anything like me, the indecisiveness is real when it comes to picking out what to watch on Netflix. Movie or TV show? Drama or Rom Com? Here's a variety of must watch shows and movies that'll hopefully shorten your browsing time on Netflix.
1. The Fundamentals Of Caring
If you're looking for a heartwarming and humorous movie, The Fundamentals Of Caring hits every mark. Paul Rudd brings exceptional charm onto the screen, as a former writer turned caregiver to Trevor, a teen suffering from muscular dystrophy. A film rooted in lessons about loss and love, the charismatic characters and endearing storylines make it a film worth watching.
2. Chef's Table
Now with two seasons on Netflix, this docu-series focuses on culinary talents all the way from Los Angeles to the Patagonian islands. Chef's Table takes a step back from adrenaline filled cooking competitions by dedicating each episode to a different chef, showcasing his or her rich diversity and personal philosophies about the art of cuisine.
3. Sky High
Because who wouldn't want to relive their Disney childhood days?
4. David Blaine: Real or Magic?
Known as an American magician and endurance artist, David Blaine's incredible tricks and stunts always leaves you wondering, did that really just happen? In this TV special, David brings his talent to the doorsteps of various celebrities, even getting a "Get the f*ck out of my house!" reaction from Harrison Ford. With truly gasp-worthy moments, it's magic like no other.
5. Hush
Even though Halloween has passed, you never need a reason to watch a scary movie. A spin on the classic home invasion story, the suspense is framed with a back and forth battle when Maddie, a deaf-mute writer isolated in the woods, is met with a psychopath masked killer.
6. Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories
This Netflix original contains 30 minute short stories that are told in Japanese with English subtitles, all of which center around a chef, referred to as Master, and his diner that's open from midnight to 7 in the morning. Infused with a collection of eccentric characters, the show provides an interesting take on the parallels between food and relationships. Each story, while simplistic, shows us that more happens in the night than you would expect, while making poignant impressions and leaving you just a little bit hungry.
7. Nightcrawler
A beautifully devilish part played by Jake Gyllenhaal, Nightcrawler displays the brutality of crime journalism in the streets of Los Angeles. In this thriller, Gyllenhaal's character, Lou, is a freelance videographer with a thirst for scandals in the dead of night.
8. Gilmore Girls
Now I had to add this one at the end of the list, because we've waited years for this moment: the highly anticipated Gilmore Girls revival. Hurry, there's only a couple days to catch up before we finally return to Stars Hallow this Friday.
