I bet you've actually already heard of "American Horror Story." Out of recent summer boredom, and my constant scrolling through Netflix, I decided to give it a go since I had plenty of time on my hands. I also had heard of it before I began my binge, but I always was quite against watching it because it went mainstream so fast, and honestly it seemed like people could not stop talking about it. After watching four complete episodes in under a week, which seriously has to be a new record, I've come to the conclusion that American Horror Story is seriously the best TV show ever, and you all need to give it a whirl, and here's why...

1. The characters change from season to season but the actors pretty much stay the same.

This really shows just how good these actors are. Besides, it's kinda cool just to see them play different parts.

2. They feature artists in many of their seasons.

One of which being David Bowie's music, which was brilliant and amazing since it also partook in the theme of the season. Who doesn't love David Bowie?

3. Their guest stars are brilliant.

Adam Levine?! Lady Gaga?! Enough said.

4. Evan Peters.

Is Hot. If that right there isn't enough reason to watch each and every episode then I don't know what is.

5. The story lines are unique and can entail anything from aliens to witches to freaks.

It makes each season one of a kind and it's always very well written.

6. The memes are kinda awesome.

See what I mean?

This is just a tiny piece of the cake. American Horror Story is seriously one of the best TV series I've ever seen. Plus it's on Netflix, and if you don't own a Netflix then i bet you know some one who does. Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to spend the scary season then watching a slightly scary episode or two. or three or four. Whatever works.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
