Bigger Than Brady

The Patriots have real issues with their offense at the moment as they don't have a strong quarterback and might be without some of their best receivers. Read to see how this could be detrimental to the New England Patriots season.

It's obvious that the 2016 New England Patriots have had a successful three weeks. With this being said, most people think that the Patriots are winning without their star quarterback Tom Brady, but what many non-Patriots fans don't realize is that the Patriots have done it without many of their stars including Rob Gronkowski for multiple games, Julian Edelman for a single game, among others. Even without these stars, the Patriots are still lacking a solid quarterback with Jimmy Garoppolo out with a right shoulder injury and third-string quarterback, Jacoby Brissett suffering a sprained right thumb. So how are the Patriots going to continue their winning streak? It's beyond me; however, leave it to the mastermind behind the entire New England Patriots team, Bill Belichick.

Belichick is notorious for being a man of few words, often disapproving of many media questions that are asked of him following team practices. The indisputable question that will be asked this week is who is going to be the quarterback? Will it be Julian Edelman, known for his amazing abilities as a wide receiver, will Jimmy Garoppolo be healthy, or are the Patriots going to sign a free agent? This issue is much bigger than Brady. The media desperately wants an answer, but the players do as well. Belichick always has an answer. He will find someone, rumored to be former Texans quarterback T.J Yates, to complete the job. Belichick is specifically trying to do his job, living by the quote that is synonymous with the Patriots. This quarterback issue also could potentially mean a lack of successful offense due to the fact that Julian Edelman is the Patriots main receiver. If he is quarterback, the role he played in college, the backup wide receivers will have large shoes to fill. This problem could be even more detrimental if larger than life tight end Rob Gronkowski remains inactive because of his hamstring injury. This problem is only for the Patriots Week 4 game because Brady is eligible to return Week 5! #BradyIsFree!

Well, if there is a will there is a way. If both Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski play their proper roles as receivers and the Patriots find a quarterback that can adequately do his job, I believe they will be fine. I mean look at it this way, the Patriots shutout the Texans on Thursday night with their third-string quarterback leading the offense with a sprained thumb and without, arguably, the best tight end in the game. As a Patriots fan, I think Belichick will be successful and the Patriots will prevail over the Bills, the last place team in the AFC East. This game is going to be a must watch on October 2 at 1:00 PM ET as these two rival teams go head to head for the first time this season. It will be an interesting game to watch for all those Patriots fans out there, so stay tuned and keep your eyes out for the latest Patriots news to see how the roster will play out for this extremely important game.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
