In today's society, most Americans see plus-size models as a contradiction rather than an accomplishment. Americans nowadays are too blinded to see the potential within bigger women because they are too one-sided in wanting to see all the different shades of beauty.
Big gals can be just as sexy as skinny gals and some would even say that big gals can do it 10 times better! There is absolutely nothing wrong with having some meat on your bones! Ladies, you do not have to be afraid to defy the stereotypes of what beauty is supposed to portray.
Personally, I've always been on the plus-size side all of my life and to be honest, I love it! I believe that being big and beautiful in today's America teaches young girls and young women to start loving their bodies more at a younger age.
Being able to love your body, your image, all of who you are, and accepting the body God gave you is something we as a society should be promoting and encouraging young women to do from the moment they are born. The beliefs and opinions on plus-size women from the media and famous celebrities have to change! Big is beautiful!
Also, just because a woman may be a bit on the heavier side of the spectrum does not mean she is "obese." You can be "fat" and be just as healthy -- even more healthy, possibly -- than someone who weighs 100 pounds less.
As long as you exercise, drink water, eat the right kinds of meats, vegetables, and fruits while checking in with your doctor every now and then, you are fine. The myth about plus-size women being unhealthy, uneducated, and advocating for others to be "overweight" is simply a foolish immoral fallacy. Being plus-size is not always a choice, you are born with it and it is by far a gift.
Being big and beautiful in America has to start being seen as a sign of a positive symbol for change.
Plus-size women have to be seen as the incredible individuals that they truly are rather than as an immense difference. As a society, we should be done with discriminating against women, let alone women discriminating against other women! That just blows my mind because women have to stop competing against other women. They also have to stop getting jealous over petty drama that has no meaning at all!
It's insane to me that if women were more understanding, accepting, less competitive, and more caring towards each other, plus-size women would probably have an easier time in this world.
Overall, plus-size women are America's heroes. Plus-size women put themselves out there and strut all of their bases with no trouble. Plus-size women overcome the bullying, discriminating, shading, and slurs earlier, giving them a tougher and thicker skin that shines through their beauty.
So to all the Meghan Trainors, Ashley Grahams, Tess Hollidays, and Queen Latifahs out there, keep being you and don't change for anybody! Most of all, your best is beautiful and if being best means that you are a little heavier, thicker, or bigger than most other women, then you are quite the best kind of beautiful.
