"Big girls don't cry."
"This isn't that sad why are you crying?"
These are things I would get told almost every day.
I'm a big time crier -- I'm super sensitive but also get too emotionally attached to things.
Like if you get my talking about Disney World or Minnie Mouse too long I'll break down and sob.
Which follows with the, "Why are you crying?" question.
It just a theme park and it's just a mouse.
But to me, those things mean so much more and at the sheer mention of talking about my home and my best friend I can't help but get emotional.
Me crying too often does not make me weak.
I feel like instead crying should give you empowerment, "Yeah I cried at that sad dog movie last night- BECAUSE I HAVE A HEART!"
I feel like it should be more encouraged to cry sometimes than hold it all in.
I used to be an intern at a preschool and a 1st-grade class and I saw a lot of tears.
Lots of teachers told my kids to suck it up but not me. My kids told me what was wrong and I told Jen how to fix it or I took care of them myself.
Crying should be a sign of how strong you are.
My girlfriend is a victim in more ways than one- and she cries often- and I think she's one of the strongest people I know.
Crying should never be a signal as weakness, fear, or over sensitivity.
It should be something people are proud of something to show off that they been through some things or that they are really passionate about something.
Sometimes you just get so frustrated that you need a good cry afterwards. We've all been there and it's okay.
It's okay to cry over nothing and it's okay to get choked up over nothing.
IM HERE TO TELL YOU
Big girls don't cry?
Yeah well, I have NEWS for you.
