Big Brother 19: Is This Season Worth It?

You know it's officially summer when Big Brother premieres, and everyone knows that each season offers a ton of new twists and turns. From the Rachels to the Pauls, every season has a different drama level, and of course, different people with different personalities that have to clash at some point. Because each season is different and some seasons are worse than others, below is a list to help you decide if this season is a good season for you to watch or if you should just spend three hours a week doing something else.

1.) The Summer of Temptation? Yes, Please!

If you watch Big Brother, you know that during some competitions, the contestants are tempted with various amounts of money and whatnot. However, during the first episode of this season, the contestants were tempted with $25,000, and if they took it, a vet would come back into the game. So, of course, someone took the temptation and a vet was brought back into the game. And that temptation made season 19 much more interesting to watch, because viewers got to see a very familiar face enter the game once again.

2.) The Den of Temptation

Since it is the summer of temptation, it's natural that temptation will follow throughout the season. And it does. Each week, America votes for a contestant to receive a temptation at the expense of one of the other housemates, and they can either take the temptation or resist it - which means that their housemates are ultimately safe as well. It's not known if this twist will last the whole summer, but it'll certainly be fun to watch the Den of Temptation play out for however long it lasts.

3.) Friendship

Because the first temptation of $25,000 was taken by a housemate, the consequence was having a vet come back, which no one knew about. For those of you that watched Big Brother 18 but haven't had a chance to see this season yet, the vet that came back loved himself some friendship and was none other than your boy: Paul! Paul was the runner-up last season (though he deserved to win, if I'm being honest), and it's great to have him back to bring some fun to the house.

There you have it, three points to help you determine if you want to watch this season of Big Brother or not. With the first week having almost three weeks' worth of people on the block, season 19 is definitely full of surprises for everyone - showmances, drama, and all. And, as always with Big Brother, don't forget to expect the unexpected - especially with the summer of temptation.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
