Big Brother 19 Episode 29 Recap

This is getting rough guys, rough. This season is starting to really become a drag just because Paul is just running circles around this house. These people have no idea what they are doing and if he doesn't win then dare I say that it could go down as the worst season of Big Brother ever. Also, why in the world were Matt and Raven cast on the show? Tonight, we honestly saw them really be the center of attention for the first time all season. Big Brother loves showmances and the fact that a showmance has hardly been on the season just says it all.

During the HOH competition, we got at least one person from every pair left in the house say that they either needed their partner or Paul to win HOH. This just shows how great of a spot Paul is in. The strategy of really being every pair's third wheel is really good on his part even though he is fully committed to Christmas and Josh. What is really making this work is that he is relaying information between the pairs so that it almost looks like he is spying for them. It really is brilliant. What makes it even easier is that Raven and Matt already have their doubts about Alex and Jason and vice versa. This ultimately leaves Paul out of the equation entirely and he doesn't have to pick sides.

When it gets down to Alex and Jason for the HOH, neither of them seem happy with throwing it to the other so they are battling it out. This doesn't set to well with Matt because he sees his girl getting really upset because she lost the comp and she is cold so he starts giving them a hard time. Knowing what we know about Matt, this is pretty uncharacteristic of him. Paul loves it because it just is showing how strong of players they are and how their physical strength will be their downfall. Finally, Alex drops and Jason becomes the new HOH. We saw Paul working his magic between the two pairs by telling Matt and Raven, Jason might put two of the three of them up as pawns to backdoor Kevin and in some twisted way they believed it. This could have something to with Alex and Jason both voting for Matt and then them blaming it on Kevin, but still this is pretty impressive game play on Paul's part.

The other big story line of the episode was the rouge votes that Paul, Alex, and Jason arranged to pin it on Kevin so that Matt and Raven wouldn't object to being pawns this week. This really works and everyone in the house thinks it is Kevin and someone else just because of Kevin's previous history in casting some of these votes. What is even stupider with this situation is that Jason spills the beans to Kevin because he is a terrible liar, but he also convinces Kevin to not say anything about it which if Kevin can't pick up on how sketchy that is then he really deserves not to win anything this season. There is a brief moment where Josh asked Christmas if she thought that Paul was the rouge votes because he knows what he is doing. Christmas quickly dismisses that theory and it is like nothing happened. In the end, Matt and Raven buy that Kevin is the target and they end up going on the block.

If Paul can get these two pairs to pick each other part, than he is going to have a cake walk to the Finals. If someone is even remotely close to being able to beat him, it is Alex. He said tonight that he wants to keep her around longer than Jason, but he also knows that she could beat him. It is good that he is actually thinking ahead about this right now and not until the last minute. The Veto episode should be interesting though if Matt and Raven neither win the Veto and it doesn't get used. They will be so blindsided and that is when Paul is really going to have to do work to convince them he didn't know. Hopefully it can add a little more drama to the end of this season because if not it could be a rough next couple of weeks.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
