This past week, I was included in on a Bible verse exchange, which was basically a chain email where you were individually sent Bible verses that particularly resonated with whoever sent them. In reflecting on the verses I was sent, I decided to compile the majority of them here. Recently, I have been called more than ever to keep faith a forefront of my mind, to remember that God is always with me, guiding me to bigger and better places. Receiving these verses this week was uplifting and inspired me to keep moving forward.

This verse reminds us that even when it seems like things have ended, that a situation is deserted or over, God is always creating something new. As cliché as it sounds, beginnings are always on the horizon, even when things seem hopeless.

2.

This verse reminds us that the Spirit is not one of fear, but one that gives us power to live our lives with. We are strengthened by the Spirit of God, and we can allow this Spirit to help guide us in our daily actions.

This again, reminds us that God fills us with strength. When we allow the Spirit to be present in our lives, we are able to reach our goals, to go places we never imagined, and fly.

As someone who tends to worry about the little things in life, I particularly enjoyed receiving this verse because it reminded me that we can always call onto God in our times of need, that anxiety is not the answer.

5.

This verse acclaims us as being the light of the world, which to me at least, fills me with a certain purpose and desire to keep moving forward, to keep doing good works and spreading love and kindness.

I loved receiving this verse because in a world that tries to minimize weakness, this verse tells us that, in fact, we tend to have it all wrong: our weaknesses become our strengths when we trust in God. We ought not to be ashamed of the things we go through, but realize that God's power is made perfect in weakness.

Psalm 23 is a powerful one, because it demonstrates that nothing we go through in life we go through alone, that the Lord is always there for us to call onto and guide us, and that having faith in that ought to remain at the forefront of our minds.

8.

I think this verse speaks for itself, but again, the theme we see in a lot of these verses continues: being strengthened by our faith in God.

This verse is a great reminder that worry doesn't work (as I once wrote a whole article about here). It's easy to get caught up in everything happening in life and to worry about it all, but really, worry has no purpose. Instead, we ought to keep our faith and trust alive.

I'll admit it: I didn't get this verse sent to me, but it is one of the ones I passed along! I love this verse because it reminds us to trust the process of life and the fact that everything on our path has the end purpose of filling our lives with beauty and grace.

11.

The verse I want to end with is one of my favorites. The importance of love in our lives, of a true genuine love, is always relevant. I love how clearly this verse explains what love is and I can only hope we all strive to fill our lives with this type of love.

I hope at least some of the verses resonate with you as much as they do with me! Even if you do not consider yourself religious, I think we can all resonate with the idea that in the end, our lives are filled with a greater purpose than all the little trivial things we often focus our attention on. Sometimes a shift in perspective is all we need to get an extra bit of strength to keep creating a life of intention and love.

Sam

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
