With getting my nice clothes stolen, getting grades I don’t want/expect on essays, getting a parking ticket for being 15 feet away from a crosswalk, cracking my phone, WIFI being so slow that I literally can't type up my homework, dropping girls in cheer, and realizing my tattoo is uneven to where one can't tell what it even is...my week has been awful.

With a total of over 20 small mental breakdowns over even the most simplest of things, like not being able to pick what kind of coffee I need, I haven't been totally broken down.

I consistently prayed and read the Bible. Even when I kept getting knocked over, I held a smile on my face for the time being.

If you're having/have had a week like mine where the world is trying to pull you down all the time, here are some Bible verses that I kept on my mirror and on my heart:

1. Through everything, remain at peace and don't worry about anything.

Know that God will keep your heart and mind from worrying, if you trust in him.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-8
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. -Psalm 55:22

2. God is bigger and stronger than all your troubles.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. -1 Peter 5:8-9
And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. -Romans 16:20

3. You're never alone. God will always be with you.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. -Psalm 138:7
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." -Isaiah 43:2

4. God will always protect you.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. -Psalm 147:8
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. -Psalm 46:1

God gives you troubles in this world, but ones that he knows you can handle. You're not alone because God is always there, but also because others are going through trials as well and we can use them for strength, guidance, and support.

When the devil is pulling you, push back by relying and trusting in God. Never be too absorbed in worry and stress when you have a God who will bring peace to your heart, mind. Pray, read, and lean on others.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
