College is full of taking breaks and timeouts just so you don't get overwhelmed with the piles of homework and studying on top of trying to maintain a social life. Sometimes the only reassurance you can find is from a solid relationship with Christ. Luckily, looking into your Bible is an easy way to find exactly what you need to hear even if you don't know what that is yet. It doesn't matter what you could possibly be going through the Bible has a situation of a verse of reassurance.
Verses for when you're stressed:
James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Verses for when you are when you're tempted:
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Verses for when you are worried (about the future, about a test, or just about life in general):
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Luke 21:34 Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.
I only covered a very few basic issues that I think every college student has to deal with at some point, but the thing is there are more verses for these situations and verses to help you through the ones I didn't get to, we just have to remember that in the midst of all the things going on around us, we need to take time out of our day to spend with Christ and listen to the things He has to say. If we can do that all other things will fall into place on their own. College is tough, but Jesus is tougher.
