Take a minute, put that book down and go outside for a minute. Us college students deal with the stress of exams, studying, and homework, while juggling work, friends, and sleep. Opening a Bible might seem "lame" and you might get judged, but it will take some weight off your shoulders. It'll give you hope that this stress will go away one day.

1. Psalm 16:8 - "I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

This meaning, with the Lord by your side, nothing will break you. You can get through anything you set your mind to.

2. Exodus 33:14 - "And He said, 'My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.'"

With the Lord by your side, He will give you rest, and all the stress will go away in the future.

3. 2 Samuel 22:7 - "In my distress I called upon the Lord, Yes I cried to my God; And from His temple, He heard my voice, And my cry for help came into His ears."

He understands you're in distress, and He is there for you to talk about your problems, stress and everything above. Just talking to Him will help.

4. Philippians 4:6-7 - "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This means He hears your requests, and He is guarding your hearts and minds through it all. You are always heard.

5. Psalm 55:22 - "Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken."

Tell your problems to the Lord and He will protect you. He will never let you break, and He knows how strong you are and what you can take.

6. Luke 21:19 - "Stand firm, and you will win life."

All this stress and worrying will turn out bright in the ending. Stay strong and you will have a better outcome.

7. Psalm 23:4 - "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

You have to walk through the dark in order to see the light. In order to do that, you must not be scared. You are never alone, even in the darkest times.

8. John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

All your troubles will pass, even if you think they won't. Life moves on, and it is much easier when you have God by your side every step of the way.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
