Often when stressful times set in, we let life get the best of us and try to manage on our own. We tend to forget that our God WANTS us to turn to him for comfort and understanding. The Bible is composed of so much history and so many lessons, but it is also a resource we have for affirmation from our heavenly father. As He says in Jeremiah 29:11, he has a plan for you, a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Here are 10 verses to remember on the days that you question what his plan is for you...
1. John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
2. Psalm 94:19
"When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy."
3. Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
4. Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
5. Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
6. Isaiah 40:31
"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
