It's easy to get caught up in all of the pressure and stress that life hands us. We allow ourselves to become overwhelmed and to lose sight of the hope that God promises to us. This doesn't need to be the case, though. With God's help, we have the ability to take control of our lives and to accomplish whatever it is that we set our minds to. Here are 6 verses to help you on days when you could use a little extra motivation to do this.
1. “As a man thinks in his heart, so he becomes.” - Proverbs 23:7
Whether it's a strong leader, a loving friend, or anything else, you can become whoever it is that you dream of being. All you have to do is truly believe in yourself and believe in God's ability and power.
2. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13
No matter how weak you feel, you can tell yourself that with God anything is possible.
3. “You are the light of the world – like a city on top of a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” - Matthew 5:14
God has made you special. Your love for Him will make you stand out and radiate with His love. This will allow you to accomplish great things and to bring Him glory.
4. “But as for me, I am filled with power – with the spirit of the Lord. I am filled with justice and strength.” - Micah 3:8
Once you accept the Lord into your heart, He never leaves. He, along with His strength and power, will be with you forever and will allow you conquer any battle that you come up against.
5. "'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" - Jeremiah 29:11
This verse tells us that there is no need to fear the future. Although we can't see what it will hold for us, we can look forward to the great things that God has promised for us.
6. “In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.” – Psalm 18:29
With God on your side, there is nothing, not even an army, that can stop you from accomplishing your goals.
