I've heard it said that a good sit down going through your Bible can go a long way during a hard time. No matter how you are feeling, God usually has a way of giving you a sign as to what you need to do or what you need to think about doing. For any mood you are in, you can always find a verse to help you out.
For when you're stressed:
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
For when you're not sure/overwhelmed:
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me."
For when you need strength:
Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Isaiah 12:2
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
For when you're heartbroken:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
