5 Bible Verses Every College Student Should Hear
Christ For All Nations

We all have those days, when nothing seems to be going right or we're trying our best and it's still not enough. Life is and can be tough sometimes, and it's only human to want to be the best we can be. So we put on our brave faces and try to face our challenges on our own; trying to overcome them. We try to play God in our lives. That is when Jesus comes into the picture.

1. In Matthew chapter 11, verse 28, it says this, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (ESV). I don't know about you, but that verse gives me hope. We don't have to go through life, pretending to be God and do things on our own! Let God be God, and you just do what you are able to do. I have gotten so caught up in trying to do things on my own, that I forget that Jesus wants me to give Him my burdens.

2. He tells us in Philippians chapter 4, verse 6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (NIV). God doesn't want us to worry about our lives, because He has it handled! We only need to pray to Him about what we're worried about and He will take care of the rest.

3. Jesus says in Matthew chapter 6, verse 34, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (NIV). Every day, there is always something new to worry about, but we need to leave all of our worries to God. Worrying will not help anything, nor will it hinder whatever you're worried about. Let go and let God.

4. Peter says in 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (NIV). Why should we worry when our great God, our great and loving God cares for you and for me? He knows our struggles and He wants to help us through, if we just give Him what's hindering us.

5. In Romans chapter 8, verse 38, the apostle Paul said this, "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love" (NLT). No matter what we have done, what we do or what we will do, nothing will make God stop loving us. So even if you think you have sinned and messed up big time and you think God could never love you after what you've done, God will always forgive you and love you.

God loves you, no matter what. Even if you've had a rough day, go to God with your problems and worries and He will take them and turn them into blessings.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
