Bible Verses To Help Get Through The Day

Without Christ as my savior and these verses to remember daily, I would be hopelessly lost.

As a follower of Christ, I have learned that there are certain verses that help me get through the hardest of days a little easier. Of course, with my life experiences and tragedies, they're personal to my own testimony but I believe they will help a lot of others as well. (These are based off the KJV)

Deuteronomy 6: 4-9

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Without the Lord, I wouldn't be here at all, I would not have the life that I have lived and because of this and his sacrifice I must love him with all my heart and teach and bring as many to Christ as I can.

Proverbs 31: 25-27

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

This verse teaches me the type of woman I should strive to be throughout my days here on Earth, the perfect example of a woman the Lord would approve of.

Romans 14:1

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

This verse helps me to accept those around me who are not close with the Lord as I, this teaches me to accept them and not doubt them and welcome them into my life.

Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

It has become harder for kids as generations come and go, times have changed and people don't live the way they used to and kids aren't raised the same way exactly. New technology and whatnot has cultivated this new era of teens and so on. This passage reminds me daily who I am. I am a child of God and I am to follow the path he has laid out for me and I should do this no matter how hard it may seem. After all, with the Lord by your side giving your courage and strength, it will be a lot easier.

Matthew 7: 7-11

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

I was talking with a friend one time and we discussed how we had no idea what people who didn't follow Christ do when they need help or guidance or anything for that matter. Therefore, this has helped me to realize that anything I may need, is up to me to ask for from the Lord. That only He can help me and give me the things I need in life. That I can go to the Lord for anything.

Psalm 147: 3-5

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Understanding the things life has thrown at me has been the hardest thing I've ever had to endure. The curiosity, the unanswered questions, they eat me alive honestly, but I literally have to remind myself that the Lord's understanding is limitless and these questions aren't nearly important as they may seem. Through Christ we can find peace and comfort and wisdom like no other. The wounds in my soul are in Gods bindings and I'm being taken care of. Only through Christ have I found an ounce of comfort through the pain I've been through.

Psalm 118:14

The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

This one speaks for itself really. The Lord gives me strength and keeps me going daily, thus releasing to me my salvation. Putting all my worries away and loving Christ is the only way to receive this strength, which is a major comfort when you're beyond help from anyone. Keeping my Faith.

These Bible verse have made all the difference in my life and I hope they can help you as much as they have helped me, because I've no idea where I'd be without Christ as my savior.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
