Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. — Acts 4:12 KJV
Reflection on Verse for Today
Both the world in general and man in particular have invested a significant amount of time and energy over the course of thousands of years in the construction of a wide array to be saved. They have created a variety of deceptive illusions that they think will endow life with significance, but in reality, these things are only empty vessels. They are empty ideas that have arisen as a result of a race’s conflicted relationship with the Creator who gave them life. How fortunate are we to have been delivered from the impossible task that was man trying to save himself? Simply putting your faith in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is all that is required to receive salvation as a gift from God; what a wonderful blessing it is for us to have been given this opportunity!
Let us exalt the glorious name of Jesus and stand firm against the lies of this world, the lusts of our flesh, and the cunning of the adversary by fixing the eyes of our hearts on Him and keeping the ears of our understanding constantly attuned to the still, small voice of the Lord. Let us glory in the name of Jesus. When we put our faith in Christ, we are healed—not just physically, but also spiritually and emotionally. When we put our faith in Him, we are saved once and for all time, “for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”
My Prayer
I give thanks to you, Heavenly Father, for sending Jesus to be my Savior. I am grateful to You for the salvation that has been made available to me through Him. We give thanks that the way to salvation is so straightforward that it may be understood by even the youngest of children. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
