Listening Faithfully

As I come to end my college career I am getting super stressed about what I am going to do the rest of my life and on top of the rest of my life what am I going to do for an internship this upcoming summer. How am i going to pay for my last semester of college, and everything else in my life? All these questions just keep running through my mind.

All I need to do is remember a couple bible verses and keep telling myself these bible verses.

Jeremiah 29:11

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'Plans to prosper you and to not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'"

This Bible verse really hits home especially with how I have been feeling about what to do with my life. I need to just realize that no matter how many storms I go through, God is here, HE knows the plans he has for me, HE will not let me fail, and HE wants me to prosper.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” - 1 Peter 5:7

I need to realize that no matter what goes on in my life God is ALWAYS here to listen to me and will let me cast not only all my anxiety on him, but also let me cast my thoughts to him as well.

I know I post a lot of articles about God and I am sorry for that to the people who aren’t religious.

It took me 23 years to realize that God is here no matter what I am going through in my life, he cares about me and you. YES, I would most definitely be lost without him. There are many ways to connect with God but with how I have been feeling these two bible verses are going to save me. No matter what happens in your life you should realize that God does care and will let you vent your thoughts to him.

"With God all things are possible." -Matthew 19:26

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
