College is an exciting time where we make new friends, live on our own, and slowly transition into adulthood. There are so many different pros and cons when it comes to college, however there is one con that every college student can agree on...8 AM classes. These are the worst of the worsts when it comes to anything with college. Before considering taking an early morning class, I'll be giving you a little heads up of what you are getting yourself into.

Having an 8 AM class means waking up before the sun even rises. You may think you can handle it since you did it for 13+ years, but trust me, you can't. There's something about college that makes it impossible to wake up early without being partially dead all day. You especially regret taking such an early class every time your alarm goes off at 7 AM. You have no desire to get ready for a class where you hope you aren't the one who falls asleep today. It is a terrible feeling quietly getting ready for class while your roommate gets to sleep a few more hours. It kind of makes you hate them.

Getting ready for a class that early is bad enough, but not as bad as the class itself. No matter how much you love the subject, taking it at 8 AM will make you hate it more than anything. There is nothing enjoyable about sitting in a classroom early in the morning with 20 other people that also hate their lives at the moment. You would be surprised at how many dirty looks you can get at eight in the morning. You'd also be surprised at how many dirty looks you can give without even realizing it. You are in a different state of mind during the class, you are not yourself. You are a grouchy, slightly less attractive version of yourself.

When you are up that early, it feels like time stands still. A simple 8:00 to 8:50 class feels like it takes days. You are constantly checking the clock to see when you will be free, but the more you check, the slower time becomes. It's like a never ending nightmare. It literally feels like the class will never end. You daydream about the times(an hour ago) when you were free to do whatever you felt.

When you finally get out of the terrible, never-ending, place, you feel free. You tell yourself you will never go back again, you say you will drop it so you can get your beauty sleep, but it never happens. The next day you wake up at the same time, go through the same routine, and hate your life just as much.

So if you can help it, never take an 8 AM class. You will regret every minute of it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
