Better Ways To Black Friday Shop

Up until last year I had never been Black Friday shopping. I called people crazy for leaving Thanksgiving dinner early and heading off to fight crowds for sales and deals. But, last year my finance invited me to go with his family and I had no idea what to expect. The entire time we shopped I had a ton of fun, but I felt like a deer in headlights. So, if you- like me- are looking for a better way to Black Friday shop, here are a few things that might help.

1. Forming a group might be helpful.

Having some family or friends come along with you can definately help you out. If there is a line for a certian product you can have someone stand in line while you continue shopping else where, or they can just help you carry your presents.

2. Do your research.

Only rookies head out on Black Friday unprepared. Make sure you check online or in the newspaper to see what stores have what you're looking for before you head out.

3. Compare prices

Sometimes multipule stores will have the products you are looking for. Try looking around to see who has the best deal so that you get your bang for your buck.

4. Shop local.

Often local stores or stores that you are a member at- or stores that have loyality programs- will have even more marked down prices for their VIP customers.

5. Charge up

More recently stores have started their Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving night. Make sure you eat plenty of turkey, take a nap, and charge your phone before you go!

6. Come up with a budget

Even though the prices are super low on Black Friday it's a good idea to come up with a budget and stick to it.

7. Some times the lowest price isn't the best deal

Doorbuster specials draw people in with visions of savings, but they might not offer the best product for their needs. This is especially true for big-ticket items such as TVs. Just remember that you'll probably be watching that TV for a number of years; if you're not happy with its features or picture quality, you'll wind up spending that time regretting that spending even an extra $100 could have gotten you a set you'd be happier with.

8. Have a driver

If you can try and find someone who is okay with being your driver for the night. It makes getting from place to place way easier

9. Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

Make sure you have mass amounts of coffee, you'll need it!

10. Have a good time and remember the reason for the season

Enjoy your time shopping with family and friends but remember that the employee's that have to work on Black Friday had to give up time with their families and friends to be at work. Be kind and enjoy the people and the deals!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
