To My Bestfriend Who Is Getting Married

Dear Bestfriend,

It seems so crazy that soon you will be married and have a husband and life of your own. Over the years you have been my person! The person I tell all of my secrets to, the person who I go to for advice without judgement and vice verse, the person who will always be up to do weird things with me, and the person who I love even if I hate you sometimes. We always dreamed about the day one of us would get married and all the fun things each of our future held. Who knew the future would come so fast? You now have a new person to share secrets with, go to for advice, and do weird things with, and in the distant future so will I. We have watched each other go through guy after guy, toad and after toad, and finally after kissing many frogs you found your prince. I am so glad you're happy and have found someone who you can spend the rest of your life with. Just because you are getting married doesn't mean I am going anywhere. I may not be around as much because I can't randomly pop up at your house whenever but you're stuck with me for the rest of your life. I will always have your back through thick and thin, the good and the bad. Thanks for being my bestfriend! I'll love you always.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
