We're stepping into a new decade, where the possibilities of new opportunities, adventures, and ideas are infinite. If you're a yogi and have been thinking about doing a teacher training, going on a yoga retreat, or just going to some far away place to get away from the daily grind, then here are 3 tried-and-tested incredible destinations for you.
The Yoga Farm, Costa Rica
Located at the very end of the road on the South Pacific side of Costa Rica, this gorgeous yoga retreat center is also a permaculture farm and community. You can come here to volunteer and learn about life in a permaculture, off-grid living community, while being steps away from some of the best waves in the world. I found out about this hidden gem from finding a yoga teaching opportunity here, and I ended up spending a whole month in this gorgeous sanctuary teaching daily yoga classes. The Yoga Farm is truly unique in that it's completely rustic, off-grid living. If you're someone who loves yoga, gardening, being immersed in nature, and living in a community-style function, then you'll fall in love with The Yoga Farm.
Uluwatu, Bali
While Bali is certainly a trending location these days, Uluwatu is still a hidden gem. While most tourists are spending time in trending spots like Ubud, Seminyak, and Canggu, Uluwatu is still off the beaten path and you can enjoy the less crowded side of Bali. Not only is Uluwatu less crowded, but it has some of the most pristine beaches with long and clean waves. Plus, the yoga scene here is poppin! Sannyas is the most popular yoga spot, offering daily yoga classes, cacao ceremonies, retreats, crystal bowl activations, and other events for a yogis paradise.
Zion National Park
Located in the Southwest desert of Utah, Zion National Park is one of the worlds most iconically stunning national parks -- and you'll see why when you visit. Unlike anywhere else in the world, Zion National Park offers intricate sandstone cliffs can't help but make you feel small and insignificant. The park has stunning trails for hiking, biking, and for the adventurous ones -- rockclimbing. Angels Landing is an iconic hike that takes you up onto a small trail with cliffs on either side -- not ideal for those afraid of heights! Just outside of the park are stunning hotels and resorts where you can rest and practice yoga. While there isn't yet a formal yoga studio here -- there are plenty of different yoga retreats offered throughout the year.
