If you're someone that just buys cool games but wants to know even more, then read closely to the next few sentences.

Every year video games come out and we all get excited when it's one of our favorites. However, it usually sucks because you don't hear about all the games you love at one time. But what if you could see upcoming games for the whole year at an event or from the comfort of your home? I'd say, that'd be pretty freaking awesome.

Thankfully, I am fortunate to say, E3 is that exact thing. E3, also known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Sounds fancy, right? E3 is a premier event where companies from all over present their new material related to computers and video games.

They showcase well-known companies, new technology, and products no one has ever seen before all in a matter of three days. Dead smack in the middle of the year, E3 is usually held in the middle of June at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

But enough about E3, and on to the awesome games coming up in the near future. For Xbox gamers, of course.

1. Gears 5

Giphy

In the next part of the Gears series, Kait takes the lead of this story leaving her squad. This story being the biggest part of the cinematic trailer. But even bigger, she may have a connection to her enemy, the Locus. Crazy right? The release date is set for summer 2019.

2. Halo Infinite

Giphy

The Halo game has been around for many years, taking us back to the first "Xbox" ever made. Having switched its owner, servers, and more, Halo is still popping out a great story. At E3, the Halo Infinite trailer revealed a new engine for the game, more warthogs, and our crowd favorite, Master Chief. The release date is set for summer 2019.

3. Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Like many Tomb Raiders before, Lara Croft is already the Tomb Raider. In this game, Lara is just learning to become the Tomb Raider. She must overcome the intensity of tombs, survive through a deadly jungle, and live through the dark hours of the night. The release date is set for September 2018.

4. Tomb Clancy's The Division 2

Giphy

I didn't know about Tom Clancy's The Division until it became free on Xbox, never seeing it before it definitely had the quality to become a great shooter game. Now introducing the new installment, co-op play, better graphics, and a great story are the highlight to this game. Sad to say, it's not out until March 2019. But you can pre-order and get the beta!

5. Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Giphy

I haven't been into Assassin's Creed much lately but when I saw the game-play from E3, I was excited. Action role-playing game featuring the Greek Gods of the Odyssey sounds amazing to play. The release date is set for October 2018.

6. NBA 2K19

Giphy

Out of all these amazing shooters, role-playing, and mystery games comes time for sports games. NBA 2k is out again with the next year's installments. Featuring better customization of players including clothing and shoes, diverse areas of play, and more basketball, this game is sure to sweep you off your feet. The release date PlayStation for September 2018.

7. Fallout 76

Giphy

If you like Skyrim or have played Fallout before than you won't be disappointed in this next prequel. The setting is set to the hills of West Virginia. Unlike Fallout 4, where you arrive 100's of years after the nuclear bomb, you are one of the first to emerge. Who's ready with me, November 2018, whoop whoop.

8. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Giphy

In the the next game, the wonderful company of Call of Duty, out with their next best. They may be possibly eliminating campaign and focusing more on a supreme graphic multiplayer and possessed zombies, of course. The release date is set for October 2018.

9. Destiny 2 Foresaken

Giphy

The second installment to Bungie's new game, Destiny, includes a online-only multiplayer game. Play it out as you battle bosses of all kinds with your friends, all with the alien like approach. The release date is set for September 2018.

10. Doom Eternal

Giphy

Doom dates back to Xbox 360 days. I just recently bought the Doom remastered version for the Xbox One and wow it's still fun and freaky to play. Watching the Doom Eternal trailer literally makes me want to jump out my skin. With all new creatures, guns, and ways to kill endlessly. You may want to keep the youngen's out the room. The release date is set for December 2018.

11.  Hitman 2

Giphy

We welcome Agent 47 back with more weapons, more ways to kill, and cars? Yes. Play as an assassin and find different ways to execute death. The release date is set for November 2018.

12. Resident Evil 2 Remake

Giphy

I never played the original Resident Evil 2 but have played a few others. This one looks even better. If you like the old style Resident Evil than this may be something you'll like. And yes, Leon and Ada are back. The release date is set for January 2019.

13. The Last of Us Part II

Giphy

Yes, yes I know this is PS4 exclusive but a girl can dream, right? One of the leading games in the PlayStation world now. One I am very jealous to say I wish I could play. I'm not even going to say anything about it but play it if you can. The release date is set for Winter 2018.

So a few games come out this year and a few more the next, regardless to say, E3 us great and I love video games.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
