Thanks to brow icons like Cara Deleveign and Lily Collins, a thicker, bolder brow has made its way into girl's makeup routines for the past few years. Eyebrows have become an essential part of makeup. Most ladies these days enjoy enhancing their brows- and if you haven't started this life changing makeup trend, you need to. (Especially for girls with sparse brows- it's life changing.)
I am no makeup artist, but I am most definitely a huge fan of brows that make a statement. Naturally, I have gone through many brow products, some high end brands and some drug store brands. So, in honor of fleeky brows, here are some products that are either definitely worth the investment, and some that are most definitely not.
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
I am in love with this product, along with many other from Anastasia. This super thin pencil is perfect for filling in and shaping brows naturally. This pencil is probably the product that glides on the smoothest out of everything I have tried. The built-in spooly at the end of the pencil always comes in handy for making your brows even more natural.
2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer
I am also completely obsessed with this product and have heard nothing but positive reviews about it. This pencil is thicker, and the angled shape it has allows it to glide right along the brow bone. This shape of this product makes it effortless to use so I definitely recommend it to eyebrow newbies.
3. Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick
This eyebrow pencil is by far the most beautiful look I've gotten in a brow product. It's another skinny pencil, and the colors our gorgeous (particularly Brunette) It blends beautifully, and also has a built in spooly. Unlike many other products, this pencil has a glossy finish but still blends flawlessly.
4. NYX Auto Eyebrow Pencil
This is by far my least favorite eyebrow product I have purchased. I am always down for trying cheap makeup brands, but you are paying for a low quality pencil with this product. The shape of the pencil is awkward, and the spooly for blending is a flat shape that is not ideal for brushing out your brows. I have tried multiple colors of this pencil, and many of the shades had an orange-y tone. I do not recommend this product!
5. e.l.f Eyebrow Treat & Tame
This is another cheap makeup product, and I do not hate it. The brush is a bit oversized so it is hard to fill in the thinner parts of your brows, but you can definitely work with this for the price of three dollars. This product is super pigmented so your brows are guaranteed to be bold, and the wearing time is long so you won't have to worry about touching your brows up. It comes with a clear, glossy product to treat your brows and keep them in place perfectly.
6. Benefit Gimme Brow
This was my first eyebrow product that I consistently used. I have few complaints about this product other than the lack of variety in colors it come in. This product is liquid and the brush is the perfect shape for filling brows because it is super tiny and easy to use. I recommend buying this products and applying it in a backwards motion so you really fill in all of the sparse spots. This is definitely one of my favorites!
7. MAC Veluxe Brow Liner
I would without a doubt recommend this product. While this product forces you to manually sharpen it, I have not found a twistable eyebrow pencil that grants the same results. It is very easy to use, super pigmented and the matte color is on fleeeeek. What is also so great about this pencil is the variety of colors it comes in, so any hair color can find their perfect match.
8. MAC Big Brow Pencil
The Big Brow Pencil did not work the best for me, but if you were blessed with full, Cara Delevingne-esque brows I can almost guarantee that you will love this product. What I personally love was the creaminess of this crayon, how long wearing it is, and the dimension it adds to your brows. If you have thinner eyebrows like I do, it might be difficult to fill in the thin ends with this big crayon-like twist pencil, but this product is definitely one worth trying!
