The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is a yearly event that recognizes excellence in the film industry.

Anyone who is somebody attends this event, and every year those people are judged by the outfit that they choose to "stunt" in.

Below I have compiled my own list of those who were the best and those who were the worst dressed (in no particular order) at the 2019 Oscars.

Worst: Emma Stone

Emma Stone or reptile? You tell me.

Best: Lady Gaga

A QUEEN.

Worst: Kacey Musgraves

Love her. Love her music. This dress? Not so much.

Best: Brie Larson

Okay so she literally KILLED this! Some say she resembles a disco ball, but I disagree and am 100% here for this look.

Worst: Sarah Paulson

sarah paulson

I honestly have no words.

I'm just gonna keep telling myself she wore it because it has pockets.

Best: Jennifer Hudson

Personally, I'm not a fan of ruffles, but HOT DAMN!

Red is definitely her color.

Worst: Maya Rudolph

Oh my gosh! This looks like a grandma picked it out!

But then again, that also doesn't make sense because most grandmas I've met have way better taste than that.

Best: Serena Williams

Ah! I wish I had curves like Serena! Plus, her arms look fantastic.

Worst: Rachel Weisz

rachel weisz

Wowza.

Do you guys remember Polly Pocket? That top looks exactly like something she would wear.

Best: Jennifer Lopez

jennifer lopez

Okay so I may be biased just because I love Jennifer Lopez, but this dress is BEAUTIFUL.

Like seriously, if I looked as good as she does I would buy that dress and wear it everywhere.

Of course, a lot of celebrities killed the Oscars this year. Obviously, this was not a good time for others. These were just some of the many outfits that caught my eye.

Sidenote to those who looked like barf: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
