If you're looking for a man that will make you fall out of your chair laughing in almost every movie he makes an appearance in, then Will Ferrell is most definitely your guy. He has acted, produced, written, and worked on the soundtrack for many amazing movies. Out of all the movies he has starred in, I put together a list of the best/funniest ones that you don't want to miss.
1) "Blades of Glory"
Will Ferrell portrays Chazz Michael Michaels, an Olympic ice skater who was stripped of his medals and banned from competing in the men's single competition. He soon realizes that he can compete as a pairs team but he needs a partner. Arch enemy Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) has also been stripped of his medals and needs a partner for the pairs league, so the two pair up and learn to tolerate each other in this genius comedy.
2) "Kicking and Screaming"
In this comedy, Will Ferrell plays a soccer dad who ends up becoming the coach of his son's soccer team, The Tigers. Phil Weston (Will Ferrell) takes it a little overboard while trying to compete with his dad, the coach of the Tigers arch rival team. The Tigers start winning and make it all the way to the finals to play against his dad's team.
3) "Elf"
Elf is a Christmas time comedy that everyone will love about Buddy the Elf (Will Ferrell) making his way from the North Pole to New York City to meet his real dad who happens to be on the naughty list. The only world Buddy knows is as an elf making Christmas toys year round for Santa Clause to deliver on Christmas Eve, but soon comes to find that everyone in the real world doesn't believe in Santa and thinks he's absolutely crazy. Buddy learns about humans, real food, and love all in this hilarious family movie.
4) "Stepbrothers"
In a comedy about two grown men making themselves seem like children, Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) become stepbrothers when their parents marry. At first they hate each other, but when their new parents shove them into the world of adulthood they learn to tolerate each other and soon become the best of friends. The immaturity of the two causes multiple problems to arise, but together they work to get over every obstacle their lives throw at them hysterical comedy.
5) "The Campaign"
In The Campaign, Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) and Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis) go head to head in an all out battle fighting to win the title of congressman for North Carolina's district 14. Huggins is a newcomer so Brady thinks he has this one in the bag, but it actually turns out to be a very close race between the two in this uproarious comedy.
6) "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby"
Will Ferrell plays number one NASCAR driver Ricky Bobby, whose skills get put to the test when a new French driver comes into play. Soon enough, Ricky's life starts falling apart completely and he has to put his life back together and show everyone what he's got. Talladega Nights will keep you laughing for hours and it's definitely a must see.
7) "Get Hard"
In Get Hard, millionaire James King (Will Ferrell) is framed for fraud and is sentenced to 10 years in one of the toughest prisons he has ever heard of. He believes the man who washes his car, Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart), has been to prison, so he hires him to teach him to get hard in time for prison. Lewis needs $30,000 for his family to live in a better neighborhood so he agrees to take 30 days to teach Mr. King how to act so that he doesn't get himself killed in prison.
8) "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy"
Anchorman is one of Will Ferrell's best movies, starring as Ron Burgundy, San Diego's top news anchor. In the '70s there were mainly only men anchors, but Burgundy's world gets thrown upside down when a woman anchor gets brought onto his team. In this rib-tickling comedy, Ron Burgandy and Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) battle it out to get to the top.
