One of the most confusing things to do in life is plan a vacation. And I'm not talking abut Grandma's house or the beach. I'm talking about a once-in-a-lifetime kind of vacation. The kind of vacation that's planned years in advance with a hefty price tag attached to it. A price tag that, of course, is totally worth it.

Maybe you're still saving up for a grandiose family vacation, or maybe you've saved your pennies but are confused about where to go. Here are 33 spectacular destination ideas to consider worldwide.

North America

North America is home to some of the most sought-out vacation destinations worldwide. There are loads of cites to tour and memories to make. Vacationers can shop and relax. Not to mention that there are endless options for the kids too!

1. Time Square Ball Drop -- Times Square, New York

2. Disney World

3. Las Vegas

4. Chicago

5. Hawaii

6. Niagara Falls, Canada

South America

A Western hemisphere continent, South America is home to breathtaking islands and historical landmarks with a modern twist. Experience the cultures of its people through the wide array of destination options. Carnivals, museums, nightlife, theatre, architecture, folk festivals and more!

7. Isla Margarita, Venezuela

8. San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina

9. Galápagos Islands

10. Panama City

Europe

Undoubtedly, Europe has gorgeous attractions with most vacationers travelling to multiple cities. Art and music are well and alive wherever you decide to go. Experience everything from romantic bike rides for love birds to authentic cuisine.

11. Paris, France

12. Barcelona

13. Venice, Italy

14. Athens, Greece

15. Istanbul, Turkey

Africa

There's more than just the Sahara here! The continent is home to over 1 billion inhabitants, making it a tourism hotpot. Giraffes, pyramids, religious monuments and breathtaking scenery will assure you that a vacation here is money well spent.

16. Cairo, Egypt

17. Maurituius

18. Casablanca

19. Mali

Antarctica

Probably not the most ideal vacation spot since most of the continents is dedicated just for scientific research, but for the sake of the "continents theme," I had to include it. If you're into glaciers and penguins, there are some options. Otherwise, there are plenty of cruises that make stops at Antarctica.

20. McMurdo Station

21. King George Island

Asia

Earth's largest and most populated continent wouldn't be complete without vacation destinations! It's no wonder that couples come here for dream weddings. Literally everything here is so beautiful that you'll be confused about where to leave and where to stay. Choosing between skyscrapers, king-sized shopping malls and beach resorts make it a tough call in finding the "best" location. You might have to make use of "eeni meeni miini moh" for this one!

22. Hong Kong

23. Dubai

24. Bali

25. Goa

26. Bangkok

27. Abu Dhabi

28. Mumbai

29. Ngwesaung, Myanmar

Australia

Both a country and a continent, Australia houses the world's largest living thing. Also iconic for its one-of-a-kind animal species and large metropolitan areas. Lots of exotic beaches and resorts make for a once in a lifetime vacation that the entire family will enjoy!

30. Sydney

31. Melbourne

32. Perth

33. Great Barrier Reef

It's a big, beautiful world out there. So many places to see..... Where will you go?

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
