Middle school was really a lit time for all of us. We would do things in school, when we think back, we know we really must have been on something to do those kinds of things. To me, middle school was the best/worst years of my life other than high school. In middle school, you grow up and become a young man or woman. Even a teenager. But there are a lot of things that made it very fun or even lit.
Six things that made middle school lit:
1. Dipping graham crackers in milk:
This was the best thing to do with your school lunch because it tastes so good. I really did love every minute of putting those graham crackers in that milk. It was the highlight of everyone's lunch and day. My friends and I would get about four or five packs of graham crackers so we can put them in our milk.
2. Middle school dances
Middle school dances were really the most lit thing to go to. Mostly everybody in your school would be there because those were like our parties now. Being in the center of your circle would be the best thing to do at dances. At dances, you would literally feel like it was the best time of your life. Which is really was.
3. Silly bands
Silly bands were a really big trend everywhere. Every middle schooler had a pack of silly bands on their ID, book bag, or even on your arms. They really brought a lot of life to middle school. I still don't know why till this day.
4. Having a razor phone
Razor phones and flip phones were really a big deal in middle school. If you had one of those phones, you felt like you were a popular kid. They really were the hot phones out at the time.
5. Buying Papa John's pizza and chips
At my middle school, this would be the best thing to do when you brought money to your middle school. This was one of my favorite things about middle school. Papa John's in middle school is really like Cookout or any food place that we go to now. Everybody would be in line for those two slices of pepperoni pizza, chips, and a drink. If you didn't have this pizza on Friday especially, you really felt left out of everything.
6. Student Appreciation Day/Field Day
This was one of my favorite things at the end of the year. I would look forward to this specific day every year. We wouldn't have any classes at all; we would have dodgeball tournaments, snow cones, our principal cooked burgers for us. It was the best time to be a middle schooler.
