Netflix

I pride myself on being a Netflix enthusiast.

I feel like it's central to the identity of any a college student. Whether I'm binge-watching a show, discovering new movies, or rewatching old favorites, Netflix is always there for all of my television needs.

Although everyone has different tastes, Netflix's wide selection typically caters to whatever you're in the mood for. So next time you are browsing for something to watch, here are five of the things that I personally have enjoyed watching on Netflix recently.

1. "Gilmore Girls"

As someone who never watched Gilmore Girls growing up, I can honestly say that binging this classic show has been a blast. Mother/daughter duo Lorelei and Rory are the perfect leading pair. Funny and charming, the show and its dialogue have held up over the years. As a new fan, I cannot wait for the upcoming Netflix revival.

2. "Adult Beginners"

I came across this movie on my feed a few weeks ago, and I absolutely loved it. I have never heard anyone talk about it before, so it took me by surprise. After a failed business endeavor, Jake moves in with his sister's family to be a temporary nanny for his nephew. Brilliantly witty, this endearing story will certainly entertain you.

3. "Short Term 12"

Prior to her Oscar fame, Brie Larson graced the screen of this wonderful film. With being centered around a group foster home and its employees, this movie will surely pull on your heartstrings. If you feel like having a good cry or experiencing a moving story, check out Short Term 12.

4. "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is as solid throwback movie for any mood. Highlighting a great 4-way female friendship, this film is a great rewatch. The inseparable bond that exists between the four leads is nothing short of charming and fun to experience all over again.

5. "Friends" (Thanksgiving Episodes)

If you have not watched Friends at all, stop what you are doing right now and binge the entire series!

However, if you are in the mood for a shorter marathon, watching all of the Thanksgiving episodes is always a good idea. If you are a fellow Friends fan, you understand the particular amazingness that is a classic Friends holiday episode.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
