1. Spending time with those you love
As a college student, by the time Thanksgiving rolls around, we've already been away from home for what feels like forever. It is so refreshing to spend time with your loved ones and feel their warm embraces.
2. Weather
Cool enough to wear a cozy sweater and wrap yourself in a blanket, but not cold enough that you're miserable. Or, you could be like Joey and layer up.
3. FOOD
The mashed potatoes, the stuffing, the turkey, the corn, the family recipes... I could go on, but I'm already drooling on the keyboard.Time to borrow someone's maternity pants so i can use them as "Thanksgiving pants".
4. Leftovers
The best kind of leftovers to have are Thanksgiving leftovers because you can do so much with them. Sandwiches, snacks, and desserts. over the years, you even create recipes with those leftovers... like Monica soaking bread in gravy to create the "moistmaker".
5. Those special "Thanksgiving foods"
There are some foods that we only eat at Thanksgiving. Why? Who knows. Stuffing is 10/10 but I still only get to enjoy it once a year. And green bean casserole is delicious, but I've never had it any other day of the year. Why can we only cook an entire turkey once a year?
6. The Thanksgiving coma
On Thanksgiving, we can't help but stuff our faces with the food our family worked so hard to prepare for us. But what does that mean? Eating too much, unbuttoning our pants, and eating some more. The result: Thanksgiving coma. The treatment: a nice, long, nap.
7. Football
There's always an important football game on. And what better way to bond with your family than screaming at the TV?
8. Making your love for one another known
It's the beginning of the holiday season and everyone starts to cheer up just a little. Plus it's the perfect time to share with your friends and family why you're thankful for them.
