The Best Things About Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is approaching fast, which means 2016 is almost over, and Christmas is right around the corner! Thanksgiving is easily my favorite holiday! Here are 10 best things about Thanksgiving!

1. Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are absolutely my favorite thing! The first thing I think of when heading to Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes. Mmmm. And if you add gravy to them, it's even better!

2. Food In General

Green bean casserole, turkey, macaroni and cheese, bread rolls... Ugh all so delicious! Your options are truly endless on this magnificent day.

3. Family & Friends

Thanksgiving is a GREAT time to spend with family and friends! No matter who you are spending time with, make the most of it and enjoy it!

4. It's Okay To Eat A lot

Eat eat eat! Eat all you want, this is one day that you can eat everything and get a way with it!

5. Dessert

Pies so many pies. Cakes and cookies. Dessert is probably the second best, after mashed potatoes.

6. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

I love the parade. I love seeing the floats. I watch it every year, it's crazy how big the balloons are and how many people it takes to carry them.

7. Having The Day Off

Ahh, a day off of work/school. No worries in the world, except how are you gonna eat all that food.

8. The Time Of Year

Fall is all-around a good time of year. The leaves are gorgeous and depending on where you live, the weather is not too bad.

9. Giving Thanks

Being thankful for the things and people in your life is the best feeling. That is really what Thanksgiving is about. You take time out to be greatful for everything you have been blessed with.

10. The Feeling of Being Super Full

I love the feeling of being full, because the nap you take after eating is by far the best thing in life.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
