It's officially the season for TV binging. Gone is homework, the ability to enjoy cool weather, and lets be honest most responsibility that holds us down during the colder months. So sit back in your beautifully air-conditioned palace, grab a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy some of the best chill summer shows with that freshly chilled glass of rosé in hand.

Bachelor in Paradise

If you haven't been keeping up with this season of the Bachelorette, there's still time. And if not? Starting August 5th you can dive into paradise with a fresh start, just like the rest of the new cast (ha they wish) for Season 6! The overly predictable and slightly scripted series is a weekly must-watch with a crowd, it only adds to the humor of the whole thing. My biggest hope honestly is for the return of beloved Jorge. The bar isn't quite the same without his wise advice for the cast. But what will these 20-something gorgeous and well-dressed influencers do if love fails them once again? Definitely not get the wedding of their dreams before 30. Such a disappointment. In my opinion this show is always much more captivating than any of the Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons, with so many twists and love triangles (or squares, or pentagons, etc.) so if ABC hasn't disappointed you before, I promise they won't now. Who knows, maybe this season Chris Harrison himself will take a dive into paradise searching for love! Only time will tell.

Big Little Lies

Winter may have came, and gone, but all of you Game of Thrones moochers don't throw away your friends HBO password yet! Season 2 of Big Little Lies is officially HERE! The drama, lies, and controversy are back, along with the wild personalities and rollercoaster-esque storyline. The only issue is, much like the infamous GOT crowd, you have to be all in for an HBO subscription in order to catch up. Or, take a break from binging television and pick up the book! I can honestly say I finished it in 36 hours, and it was one of the best summer reads my mind has ever followed. That oughta catch you up to live time just in time for the new summer twists! Never mind the stellar cast, this thriller will be sure to keep you on your toes, while at the same time not throwing too many jump scares and Pretty Little Liars creepiness. You will be captivated, and you will still be able to sleep at night. Most definitely my top pick for this summer.

Pose

Out of all the shows on this summer's list, this is the one I have the least knowledge about. But if all the social media hype turns out to be right, it's gotta be top of the list! If you are looking for a more risqué, bold, and moving show to binge on this summer, take a chance and check out season 2 which just started up. It is promising nothing short of spectacular, coming back "better, bigger, and more fabulous than ever"!

America's Got Talent

If you ask me, the era for live talent TV shows has come and gone. American Idol, X Factor, and even the Voice, are just not as exciting as they once were. Maybe it's an overcrowding in the market or maybe it's a lack of superstars coming out of them nowadays. America's Got Talent, however, provides some sense of freshness. Since not all of the acts on the show are musical talents there is definitely room to be amazed and terrified all at once. Also, the fact that there is no age limit on acts or really any boundaries as to what could happen - live. Whether you keep up week by week or just throw it on to catch something entertaining, it never fails to at least make you feel something - how could it not with Simon Cowell as a judge?

Grand Hotel

For all of my fellow Jane the Virgin lovers, prepare yourself. Just by the preview of this new TV show I am getting season 1 Marbella-level murder chills. This dramatic new series has pretty much everything you'd expect out of a classic Telenovela. Attractive cast, luxurious penthouses, love, lust, secrets, and of course, murder. Although I have not gotten deep enough to fully review this show I can tell you upfront that even the cast already mirrors the likes of Rafael, Xio, and Luisa. Only time will tell how this show grows, but let's hope for their sake that no one gets artificially inseminated.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
