Look, summer is great. But when it gets really hot, it can also SUCK to be outside.

With that said, for those really hot days, crank up the AC and cosy up to watch these romantic comedies when you need to cool down:

1. (500) Days Of Summer

This has to be one of my favorite movies to watch over the summer. I mean "You Make My Dreams" scene is literally so funny and cute how could you not love this movie? I also like it because it's one of the more realistic rom-coms. The ending is also just so good and unexpected, especially for a rom-com.

Best part: Hands down Joseph Gordon-Levitt dancing to You Make My Dreams by Hall and Oates.

2. Mammia Mia & Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again

Ok, these movies would be such a good double feature. The music, the dancing, and the setting all make you want to go jump and a plane and fly all over the world. It's cheesy and sometimes infuriating and that's what makes it so fun.

Best part: Anytime they sing Dancing Queen or Mammia Mia.

3. Grease

Grease is the CLASSIC summer romance... even though most of the story happens during the school year. It's a fun movie to watch with a big group of people who all know the words. I think there are also some parts that are just so silly and out there, but this a must-see for my friends and I every summer.

Best part: Danny saying "it's electrifying" and Sandy stepping on the cigarette during You're The One That I Want are both so iconic. Also "Tell me about it.. stud." So good.

4. The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 1 & 2

These movies are so good because they give you wanderlust and a sense of adventure, but they talk about some really deep topics that are so important for young women. I love the friendships that are represented and how they show that some of the best friendships benefit from distance.

Best part: Watching the girls grow and develop from their experiences.

5. The Last Song

This movie is so mushy and lovey dovey, but it also has some really sad moments that bring it back to earth. Miley and Liam aren't the best actors in this movie to be honest, but they have so much chemistry.

Best part: Knowing the Miley and Liam are married now thanks to this movie.

6. Endless Love

Another summer rom-com that is VERY mushy and lovey-dovey, but honestly Alex Pettyfer is so swoon-worthy the whole time and the movie is so dramatic that you end up getting lost in it and really enjoying it the whole time.

Best part: When David says "I love you" to Jade in the truck, it's so cheesy but sooo cute.

7. The Parent Trap

An instant summer classic that made me want a twin sister so badly. Also can we talk about how good the editing for this movie was given the time it came out?? I was legitimately convinced Lindsay Lohan had a twin sister.

Best part: When Halle and Annie finally realize that they're twins.

8. Call Me By Your Name

Call Me By Your Name is equal parts beautiful as it is sad, but that's what makes it so good. I loved Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet's perfomances and thought they did such an amazing job portraying their characters.

Best part: The speech Elio's father gives to him after Oliver leaves.

9. Aquamarine

Shake, stretch, flex. I mean this movie had so many iconic moments and it's just as fun to watch it now as it was when I was a kid. Plus, how cool would it be to be friends with a mermaid??

Best part: That the love Aquamarine needed to find all along was found in her friendships with Claire and Hailey.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
