Need something to get you through the eight-hour shifts of summer? Or even just need a pick-me-up for when you cram your days full of fun? Here are your ultimate summer drinks that you need to try before you go back to your same drink order that you've had the previous eight days in a row now.

1. Cool Lime Refresher with pineapple infusion and 2 scoops of lime slices

Alright. Sounds complicated, I know, but for sure delicious. Keeps you energized while feeling fresh and fruity. Imagine being on the beaches of Hawaii, take a sip of this, and its sitting in your mouth.

2. Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew with light ice and vanilla

One of my staple drinks that I pick up on my way to work at 5:00 in the morning. Just enough to keep me going without the super strong taste of a cold brew.

3. Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte

Something for the matcha lovers out there, or the Starbucks addicts that need something different than coffee. Don't be fooled, this drink still has sugar, but matcha has many health benefits like boosting your metabolism, calming the mind and body, and enhances your mood! This is the perfect after-workout drink.

4. Passion Tango Tea + pineapple with strawberry juice and two scoops of blackberry

With the little bit of sparking water included in this, it makes the perfect light, fruity drink that a lot of people don't know about! Much like the refresher mentioned above, this is the drink for a hot day by the water, or a nice cool down drink to sip on when you are in the car.

5. Horchata Almondmilk Crème Frappuccino

Looking for something on the sweeter side? Here it is! You have your classic Horchata with a twist, iced down, blended up, and put into a cup! Creamy, sweet, and the perfect sipping drink for when you are catching up with a friend!

6. Iced Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato

Another one of my absolute favorites. A nice spin on the original caramel macchiato that is usually my go-to, but why choose between a mocha and a macchiato, when you can have both? Nice coconut milk to sweeten things up a bit while still giving you that delicious flavor.

7. Dark Mocha Nitro Cold Brew with Nitro Milk

For all the dark chocolate lovers out there, this is what you have been waiting for. First, you score with the nitro cold brew, but you get the sweetness of chocolate too. A little bit like a deluxe mocha. Sip, sip, delish!

Simmer down and try out these fun, new and classic iced drinks – all brought to you by Starbucks! I have tried all of these drinks and they are certified, Danni Messina approved. Go get your drink on!

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2023, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.

Christmas is literally so close. We can almost taste it. But there is just one thing standing between you and the big day: FINALS. It's not the studying, lack of sleep, last minute cram sessions or crappy food intake that is the worst... but the fact that you cannot focus because, well, CHRISTMAS. How do professors expect you to focus when Christmas is soooo soon. For all my fellow Christmas lovers out there, I feel your pain.
