By the looks of the title, I know you're thinking that I have no idea what I'm talking about.
However, just because I don't have perfect skin, doesn't mean I haven't found some seriously fantastic skincare products that have cured my skin of the average hormonal breakout, to the wearing my makeup to bed and waking up with a huge zit the next morning scenario. So, here are my go-to skincare products that are, for the most part, perfect for someone on a budget.
1. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser
This face wash is super mild, meaning it won't make your skin extra greasy or extra dry.
I use it twice a day and it keeps my skin feeling tight and clean. This product is also awesome if you have super sensitive skin.
2. Mario Bedescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea
At first, you might think this is just a gimmick because it's basically just fancy water. But, this fancy water is so, so, SO good.
I use it after I shower and it is so refreshing on my skin. Speaking of refreshing, when it's ungodly hot outside, using this spray keeps my skin feeling fresh and not disgusting throughout the day. I also use this to set my makeup and give it a dewy look.
3. Mario Bedescu Drying Lotion
When I do have bad breakouts, putting this spot treatment on overnight is like magic. I wake up and my blemish is either hardly noticeable or completely gone. Even though this is a little pricey, I think it is worth the purchase for how effective it is.
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
During the winter months, my skin cries for help. This moisturizer keeps my skin feeling hydrated during the coldest days of winter, and even if I use it in the summer, it's not too thick and doesn't make my skin feel heavy and greasy.
5. Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask
For when I'm having a night to myself or if I feel like my skin needs a pick-me-up, this Shea Moisture mask is my go-to. It's extremely moisturizing, so I only use it once or twice a week.
Not only does it leave my skin feeling brand new and refreshed, it has ingredients that not only moisturize but help reduce acne and facial bacteria.
6. Shea Moisture 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Ah, my favorite product in the world, coconut oil. I use this everywhere, face and body.
I use it to remove my makeup, on my eyelashes and eyebrows, on my lips, and to moisturize my entire body. Coconut oil is so good for your skin, but don't use too much of it directly on your face or that oil could build up and create unwanted breakouts.
7. Jade Facial Roller
My newest addition to my skincare routine is a jade facial roller. I put mine in the freezer, and every morning and night I roll my face with it before putting on my skincare products. It decreases puffiness, decreases the appearance of fine lines, and leaves my skin feeling renewed.
So, take it from someone who doesn't have perfect skin. These products truly work for me, and maybe if you try one or all seven, they'll work for you too.
