The Best Shows On Netflix To Watch With Your Friends

Some of the best memories of my freshman year of college include sitting around with my friends and watching Netflix. Whether we would have a show on as background noise while we played on our laptops or we just wanted to have a good old binge-watching weekend, Netflix brought us together. I'll never forget laughing as we watched "Bob's Burgers: or yelled at the TV while watching "Chopped" if one of the chefs did something wrong. Netflix and chill (I actually mean chill) along with Sonic runs became some of our nightly routines. Now, I'm going to list four of my personal favorite shows to watch on Netflix with friends:

4. 'Portlandia'

While this show is pretty bizarre in itself, it does offer moments of hilarity with various skits of life in Portland. The show stars Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisten who play the many different citizens of Portland. This show will have you shaking your head and laughing at the same time for its unusual humor, however, it is a show you have to pay attention to follow the plot and jokes.

3. 'Friends'

This show is a classic even thought it'be on the air since before I was born. While the jokes and plot in the show can be hilarious, this is a good show to watch if only a few of your friends are watching since you need to follow the plot to understand what's going on in the episode.

2. 'Chopped/Cutthroat Kitchen'

Both of these shows are the best to watch with friends. I personally love watching cooking competition shows with friends because we love yelling at the opponents and watching how they'll make the dish. "Chopped" is a good starting point to ease into before making the dive into watching "Cutthroat Kitchen." All in all, you won't regret watching these shows.

1. 'Bob's Burgers'

This show is great for all the right reasons. It's funny, witty, sarcastic, and quirky all at the same time. This is one of my all time favorites and I personally identify as Tina Belcher. You and your friends will fall in love with the humor and odd characters that this show offers.

Personally, these are my favorite shows to watch with friends, not everyone will like these shows. Try new shows out on Netflix with your friends and see what interests you and makes all of you laugh. Netflix and friendship are two of the most awesome things that life offers us, so enjoy it!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
